DAY 1:
Travel north, from Adelaide to the picturesque Flinders Ranges.

Visit Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta for hands on interpretative displays about the history and culture of the Flinders Ranges.

Lunch at Wadlata or in the historic railway town of Quorn.

Tour to caves to see ancient Aboriginal painting site and hear the local Aboriginal Creation story.

Travel to a spectacular gorge – a 20 kilometre trail that passes through 130 million years of earth history, giving an insight into past climates, the formation of the ranges and the evolution of early life forms.

Enjoy a bush foods afternoon tea and look for the endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and other wildlife.

Travel on to Wilpena Pound Resort with enough leisure time for a walk, a visit to the Information Centre, a drink at the bar, a swim, or a 20 minute scenic flight (at extra cost of $120 per person, min. 2 people) over the ranges.

Dine at the Wilpena Resort Restaurant and then check out the Bar or retire to the deluxe accommodation for the evening.

DAY 2:
Enjoy a full buffet breakfast at the Wilpena Pound Restaurant.

Take a guided walk along Wilpena Creek to Wangarra Look-Out to take in the amazing views inside Wilpena Pound, and a visit to the Hills Homestead for insight into early farm life.

Enjoy a bush foods morning tea in a picturesque gum-tree flanked creek bed beside a still waterhole.

Tour to local ancient Aboriginal rock art site to hear Adnyamathanha creation stories and art interpretations. this site features ochre and charcoal paintings depicting the creation of Wilpena pound. The walk offers spectacular views of the Chace Range.

Travel back to the historic town of Hawker for lunch and check out the Wilpena Panorama Gallery where you can see a magnificent 360° painting of Wilpena Pound, and other locally produced art and craft.

Depart for Adelaide and visit historic ruins at Kanyaka. (time permitting)
